The District Salon & Barber uses clear booking guidelines so every appointment runs smoothly and each service has enough time. This page explains how to book, prepare, reschedule, cancel, and confirm the right appointment type.

Booking & Appointment Guidelines

Booking

Haircuts, barber services, beard trims, and routine grooming appointments can typically be booked online.

Consultations

Color, chemical services, corrections, and major changes may require consultation before booking.

Rescheduling

If you need to move your appointment, contact The District Salon & Barber as early as possible so we can help find another time.

Cancellations

Please provide notice if you need to cancel so the appointment time can be made available to another guest.

Late Arrivals

Late arrivals may require service adjustments depending on timing, service type, and schedule availability.

Hair coloring, chemical services, corrections, major changes, and transformation work may require extra time, consultation, or quote-based planning. If your appointment involves a major color change or correction, contact The District Salon & Barber before booking.

How far in advance should I book an appointment?

For short services like lineups and beard trims, same-day or next-day availability is often possible. For haircuts, booking 1–3 days ahead is generally sufficient. Colour, keratin, and complex services — especially those requiring a longer appointment block — may require more lead time, particularly for weekend slots. Call (807) 577-5621 to check current availability if you have a specific date in mind.

What is the cancellation and rescheduling approach?

If your plans change, call (807) 577-5621 as soon as possible. Giving adequate notice allows The District Salon & Barber to offer the appointment slot to another guest. Last-minute cancellations affect the team and other guests waiting for availability. The District Salon & Barber does not currently charge a cancellation fee, but repeated late cancellations may affect future booking priority. When in doubt, call — do not simply miss the appointment.

What happens if I arrive late?

Arriving late compresses the time available for your service. Depending on how late you arrive and what service is scheduled, your team member may need to adjust what can be completed in the remaining time.
